Scrub the countertops with a sponge. Use the rough side of the sponge to remove any stains.
Wet the sponge with hot water and use a little bit of mild dish soap to clean the countertops while you scrub. Once you done, be sure to rinse off any soapy residue with fresh hot water.
Make sure the counters are completely dry after cleaning.
To remove stains, cut a lemon in half and rub the stain with the juicy inner side of the lemon half. You can add a dash of salt when scrubbing with the lemon. Use the lemon half to rub in the salt. Clean off the salt and lemon juice with water.

Marble and granite accents are a popular way to add beauty and functionality to your home, but because of their porous surfaces, some people consider them too hard to keep clean.
Using a mix of warm water and mild dish soap for everyday cleaning. Spray the area with the mixture, and then use a microfiber towel to shine up the stone.
Avoid abrasive which can strip the sealer and etch the stone.
For stains on granite or marble countertops, clean with a paste of baking soda and water. Apply the paste to the stain. Cover it with plastic wrap and then leave the area alone. The mixture will dry and pull up the stain.
You can avoid stains by cleaning up any spills immediately.
How to Clean Laminate Countertops
To clean laminate countertops on a daily basis, all you need is dishwashing liquid, warm water and a microfiber cloth.
Stay away from harsh products with acid or alkali as well as steel wool or scouring pads.
Apply a mixture of dish soap and water to your counters using the cloth. As you wipe the counter, rinse your cloth in clean water.
If your countertops are stained, you can take care of those with baking soda and water. Simply combine a tablespoon of baking soda with a couple of tablespoons of water and mix those together to form a paste. Spread the paste over the stain and let it sit for about five minutes
How to Clean Quartz Countertops
Take a soft cloth or sponge and dip it in a warm water and soap mix. Take the sponge and begin to gently but firmly wipe down the quartz tops.
Once the counter has been scrubbed, rinse all the soap suds away. Soap lifts the dirt while water washes it away. Thoroughly rinse out your sponge and use it to wipe up all of the soap suds. You may need to re-rinse the sponge a few times. Use a dry dish towel to wipe away any excess moisture once you’re done.
How to Clean Stainless Steel Countertops
It requires nothing more than a regular wipe-down with soap and water.
Stainless steel can still get unsightly stains. Mix a paste of dish soap and baking soda and use a soft cloth to rub in the direction of the grain.
